Description
The Ole' Wicked Tree
The night of horror surrounded me
All was dark with no stars insight
I sat beneath the Ole' Wicked Tree
Shaking at the sight of vintage stones covered with weeds
The clouds rolled in and thunder played a desperate beat above my head
When lightning struck
The arms of the Ole' Wicked Tree stretched out and grabbed me
I screeched at the visions of hostels rising from the graves
Arms grabbed me, holding me tight against his bark
The ghost, translucent with fright
Pointed their bony fingers at my heart
The sound of nothing, not even my heartbeat, danced beneath the thunder
I wiggled and struggled, but the branches cut into my skin
Leaving me hopeless
The pain was awful, blood streaming down my thighs
Ghost hovered around, closer and closer they came
Their bug eaten bodies began to dance around me and the Ole' Wicked Tree
Stabbing at my chest leaving their mail marks across my breast
Why must this be the way?
Heartache, disease, but the Ole' Wicked Tree?
Lightning struck once more
Just before, I became part
Of the Ole' Wicked Tree
Leaving my mark in his bark!
